Your Questions, Answered

Here are some commonly asked questions about our services at Deni Therapy. If you have any further inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out!
How often will I have therapy?

Sessions are usually once a week, though sometimes more frequently if needed. We will agree together on what feels right for you.

How long will therapy last?

The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some people come for short-term therapy (6–12 sessions) to work on specific concerns, while others choose longer-term work to explore deeper patterns and lasting change.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything you share in sessions is treated with respect and confidentiality. The only exceptions are where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, which I will always discuss with you.

What happens if I can’t attend a session?

I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less notice may still be charged.

What if I feel nervous about starting therapy?

It’s natural to feel uncertain at the beginning. Our first session is a space for us to get to know each other, explore your needs, and see if working together feels right for you.

What is yoga therapy?

Yoga therapy is exploratory, not prescriptive – the therapist invites curiosity. The aim isn’t to achieve a posture, but to foster presence, embodiment, self-regulation and a sense of control. It helps deepen awareness of what is happening within the body and can be integrated into a psychotherapy session if it feels right for the client.

How is prenatal yoga different from regular yoga?
Prenatal yoga is specifically designed for pregnant women, focusing on safe movements and poses that support the body during pregnancy. It emphasizes breath work, flexibility, strength, and emotional well-being, while helping to alleviate common pregnancy discomforts.
Do I need to have experience with yoga to join your sessions?
No, our sessions are tailored to all levels of experience. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, we provide personalized guidance to ensure you are comfortable and get the most benefit from your practice.
Can yoga help with stress management?
Absolutely! Yoga is an excellent way to reduce stress. Through breathing exercises, mindful movement, and meditation, yoga helps activate the body’s relaxation response, reduces tension, and calms the mind.
Can I practice yoga during pregnancy?
Yes, you can practice yoga during pregnancy, provided your doctor gives you the go-ahead. Prenatal yoga helps reduce stress, improve flexibility, and alleviate discomfort, while also enhancing the connection with your baby.
